Temporary usage restrictions on the Luvia-Merikarvia lane near Tahkoluoto, due to offshore windpark construction
The Suomen Hyötytuuli Oy Tahkoluoto wind park offshore construction will start with dredging and excavation for the foundations of the power stations, as well as dredging for cable ditches. This will cause periodical restrictions of use on the coastal lane from the beginning of June to the end of August.
The wind farm area is located in front of the Tahkoluoto port west of Tahkoluoto and north of the Kaijakari rocks. The ten-metre Kupeli-Tahkoluoto lane and the 3.6-metre, north-southerly Luvia-Merikarvia coastal lane run through the area.
For security reasons, boat traffic on the coastal lane will be suspended for the duration of certain work phases, such as blasting. Traffic control vessels will be on hand to direct traffic during these times. Offshore construction work will be performed round the clock, every day.
We will announce any lane restrictions via the Vessel Traffic Services provided by the Finnish Transport Agency and any marine bulletins, as well as on our website, on Facebook and on our LinkedIn page. The phases of the construction project are presented on this map: Tahkoluoto project status
Lane restrictions are also announced on a mailing list that you can join by sending a message to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are sorry for any inconvenience caused by the construction work.
