Kakonjärvi wind farm project
Suomen Hyötytuuli Oy is planning to build a wind farm of 13 wind turbines in the areas of Pyhäranta and Laitila, which are located close to the coast in South-West Finland. The wind farm will be located in Kakonjärvi in the areas of Ylikylä in the municipality of Pyhäranta and Untamala within the city of Laitila, situated about one kilometre south-east from the centre of Pyhäjärvi municipality.
Suomen Hyötytuuli Oy is carrying out wind measurements in the project area. These were started in December 2013.
The project is subject to the statutory environmental impact assessment (EIA) procedure. The EIA procedure for the Kakonjärvi wind farm project was completed in 2013. The EIA documents (only in Finnish) can be viewed through the following link:
The component master plan for the Kakonjärvi wind farm was initiated in 2012. The project is currently in its plan draft stage.
