Suomen Hyötytuuli invests in Alajoki-Peuralinna wind farm in Perho and Kyyjärvi
Suomen Hyötytuuli Oy has made an investment decision to build an Alajoki-Peuralinna wind farm in Perho, Central Ostrobothnia and in neighbouring municipality Kyyjärvi in Central Finland. Negotiations concerning turbines and contracts are in progress.
The planned wind farm will consist of 14 pcs of approximately 6MW turbines. Seven turbines are planned to locate in Alajoki in the municipality of Perho and seven turbines in Peuralinna in Kyyjärvi municipality.
These two wind farms will be executed as one project. Value of the investment is almost 100 M€. Hyötytuuli´s Investment in the Polusjärvi win farm, which is already under construction and this new investment will elevate the annual energy production of Hyötytuuli up to 1000 GWh.
Alajoki-Peuralinna is company´s second fully commercial, subsidy free wind farm project. Hyötytuuli´s aim is to build cost-effective, competitive and market-based wind power and deliver sustainable value and pure energy to company´s owners. Wind power will play an important role in the transition to sustainable energy.
– Peuralinna and Alajoki wind farms together offer for our owners a worthwhile investment, efficient building project and good energy production, says Toni Sulameri, Managing Director at Suomen Hyötytuuli. Construction work will start in 2021. The wind farm is expected to reach full operations in 2022.
