Suomen Hyötytuuli invests in Polusjärvi wind farm in Pyhäjoki

Suomen Hyötytuuli Oy has made an investment decision to build a Polusjärvi wind farm in Pyhäjoki, Northern Ostrobothnia. The planned wind farm is located in the Eastern part of the municipality of Pyhäjoki, close to the village of Polusperä, approximately 20 kilometers away from the center of Pyhäjoki.

Polusjärvi is company´s first fully commercial, subsidy free wind farm project.

Our aim is to build cost-effective, competitive and market-based wind power and deliver sustainable value and pure energy to our investors. Wind power will play an important role in the transition to sustainable energy. Over the coming years will be seen the potential of wind power in the Finnish energy production”, says Toni Sulameri, Managing Director at Suomen Hyötytuuli.

The planned wind farm will consist of 10 turbines, an installed capacity of 40-56 MW. Negotiations concerning turbines and contracts are in progress. Options of suitable turbines vary in capacity between 4.3 MW -5.6 MW.

Construction work will start during next months. The wind farm is expected to reach full operations at the latest in summer 2021.
