The Finnish wind energy company Suomen Hy\u00f6tytuuli Oy has carried out a full demerger to strengthen its offshore wind production. The wind farms owned by former Suomen Hy\u00f6tytuuli\u00a0 have been transferred to a new company by the same name, and Tahkoluoto Offshore Oy<\/a> has assumed ownership of the Tahkoluoto demonstration and extension project. Arenso Oy<\/a> delivers wind energy life-cycle services to the new Suomen Hy\u00f6tytuuli Oy and Tahkoluoto Offshore Oy. Suomen Hy\u00f6tytuuli\u2019s wind energy production and ongoing projects continue without interruption throughout the demerger.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>The role of renewable energy in energy production is expected to grow in the coming years. In order to prepare for a significant rise in energy production and investments in offshore wind, Suomen Hy\u00f6tytuuli decided to carry out a demerger. The demerger allows for cost-efficient and flexible use of resources and wind energy expertise, as well as open up possibilities for further development of ownership structures and investment partnerships.<\/p>\n

The owners of the three new companies are the same as those of the former Suomen Hy\u00f6tytuuli: Alva-yhti\u00f6t Oy, Helen Oy (Oy Mankala Ab), Lappeenrannan Energia Oy, Lahti Energia Oy, Oy Turku Energia \u2013 \u00c5bo Energi Ab, Pori Energia Oy, Tampereen Energia Oy and Vantaan Energia Oy.<\/p>\n

The onshore wind farms and wind energy projects as well as the Tahkoluoto offshore wind farm\u00a0 of the former Suomen Hy\u00f6tytuuli are now owned by the new Suomen Hy\u00f6tytuuli Oy. The Tahkoluoto demonstration and extension project have been transferred to Tahkoluoto Offshore Oy. Both companies buy wind farm life-cycle services, such as development, construction, operation and maintenance and dismantling services from Arenso Oy. The personnel of the former Suomen Hy\u00f6tytuuli have been transferred to Arenso Oy.<\/p>\n

Mr. Toni Sulameri<\/strong>, Managing Director of Suomen Hy\u00f6tytuuli, acts as Managing Director for Arenso Oy, Suomen Hy\u00f6tytuuli Oy and Tahkoluoto Offshore Oy.<\/p>\n

We will continue with our tried and tested models for onshore wind production, and the new company structure will heighten our potential in offshore wind,\u201d says Mr. Toni Sulameri, Managing Director at Suomen Hy\u00f6tytuuli.<\/p>\n

The demerger process began with filing the demerger plan with the Finnish Patent and Registration Office on March 8, 2024, and the demerger was completed on 1 Sep, 2024.<\/p>\n
