Jokela wind farm
Jokela wind farm in Kalajoki has been producing electricity since 2015. The wind farm is situated at a distance of about 4 km north of the Kalajoki town center. The total size of the wind farm site is approximately 300 hectares. The closest residential buildings are located at a distance of approximately 1.5 km from the area.
The wind farm has 12 Nordex N117 type WTGs, 3 MW each. The wind turbines are located 400–600 metres apart from each other. The height of the towers is 140 metres and the diameter of the rotors is 117 metres.
The wind turbines produce about 121 GWh of electricity per year, which corresponds to the annual electricity consumption of about 60,000 one-bedroom apartments.
