A domestic, reliable partner
Suomen Hyötytuuli is a pioneer in domestic wind power. We have been developing and producing onshore and offshore wind power since 1998.
We are owned by eight reputable Finnish municipal energy companies, through which the energy we produce is distributed to households and industry.
Responsible wind energy
We are responsible for our wind farms throughout their life cycle, from design to construction, production and dismantling, in a safe, environmentally sound and environmentally friendly way.
The estimated lifetime of our newest wind turbines already exceeds thirty years. Through regular maintenance, monitoring and measurement, we ensure that the turbines are safe and have the longest possible lifetime. When the time comes to dismantle a wind turbine, its parts and materials are used as spare parts and recycled. We landscape the site as agreed with the landowner.
We are the first wind operator in Finland to recycle the blades of an end-of-life wind turbine using a national plastic composite recycling model.
Sustainable partnership
It is important for us to take care of our partnerships and we invest in personal and long-term cooperation with landowners.
We also want to be a visible partner in the everyday life of the wind farm communities, for example by supporting the activities of local children and young people.
